Ask a loved one to check your mail.

Whether it's a relative, a friend or a neighbor, ask them to check your mailbox. This trusted person may be able to send you any invoices due for which payment cannot wait for your return, or any other urgent request. And, in the event of a long-term absence, why not appoint this person to take care of your administration.

Discover your banking application.

Nowadays, most banks have implemented a mobile application. It's time to test it. Via these applications, you can consult your bank accounts remotely and make your payments, register your direct debits, enter your payment orders, etc. These applications must be completely secure. Nothing stops you from using your homebanking on vacation, provided you don't forget your connection box in your suitcases.

Once back home...

It's too late !!! Yes and no. Yes, you are late on your payment. And the application of the general payment conditions will cause you additional costs. And no, it's never too late to pay that bill. Even if this is increased by late fees, you must pay this amount quickly. The sooner you get in order, the less late fees you will have to pay. If your supplier sent you an invoice during your absence and you have not honored it, the costs in accordance with the general payment conditions will be your responsibility. And if your payment takes too long, you risk receiving a formal notice letter from a collection company.

Vacation or long-term absence do not justify late payment. It is up to you to organize yourself to avoid any late payment. When you travel abroad, your suppliers do not stop their activities and late payments can put them in financial difficulty.
